Description
English: J.J. Wright (1848-1922) Toronto Plaque - 14 Carlton St, Toronto, ON M5B 1K5, Canada "John Joseph Wright introduced electric lighting to Toronto and pioneered the development and use of Canada's first electric street railways. Mr. Wright went on to a distinguished career as Vice President of the Toronto Electric Light Company and in 1891 was founding President of the Canadian Electrical Association. This plaque is struck on the occasion of CEA's Centennial, May 11, 1991."
Français : "Inventeur et pionnier de L'industrie de l'électricité John Joseph Wright à implante l'éclairage électrique à Toronto et joué en rŏle de pionnier dans le développement et l'utilisation des tramways électriques au Canada.
