Summary[edit]

Description I liked the irony (or just hypocrisy) of the Tourism Ministry placing a sign at a location that tourist are discouraged from visiting. Some of the jewish run tour companies will not take their groups to areas controlled by Palestinians (e.g., Bethlehem, Jericho). When we were in a gift shop near Rachel's Tomb another group came in. They had had to walk from the checkpoint because the tour guide (and thus, the bus) refused to enter because "it's not safe there".
