| Description |
English: The next stop is Ryde Pier, but we decided to get off and have a stroll, so said goodbye to the little piece of London on the Isle of Wight. It would be hard to imagine one of the mainland trains painting one of their vehicles in British Rail blue these days, yet for some reason, all branding rule books get thrown out of the window on this island! In this picture alone you can see LT branding, Stagecoach Island Line branding (on the platform number sign) and Network South East branding on the Car Stop sign.
All this from a company owned by one of the biggest transport operaters in this country, who have spent millions installing the same generic corporate branding on most of their transport operations. One wonders how Island Line's owners (Stagecoach) let them get away with it! |
