| Description |
The most beautiful and most detailed badge worn by the force, but also the one which raises the most questions. The supporters are standign on all fours, rather than rampant which is the usual style of supporters for the Inverness Arms - but there is an example of just that (all-fours) style carve on a wall of Inverness Town House directly opposite the former Burgh Police Station. The badge, which was certainly wore on the cap in 1905, (and probably from 1902 until at least 1911) has a brooch fixing, which looks to be original, rather than the traditional cap badge fixing of double loops through which a pin was slid. |
