Description
English: Bunia, Ituri, DRC: On the International Day of Peace observed on September 21 of each year, various youth groups in Ituri pledged to back Congolese Security Forces and MONUSCO in restoring peace to this province. This will be done through awareness-raising of the young people enlisted in militia groups to get them to lay down weapons, and through providing security services with more intelligence to help them track down armed groups effectively. Français : Bunia, Ituri, RDC : A l’occasion de la Journée internationale de la Paix observée le 21 septembre de chaque année, les différentes structures de la jeunesse en Ituri se sont engagées à accompagner les forces de sécurité congolaises et la MONUSCO pour la restauration de la paix en province. Cela, à travers la sensibilisation des jeunes enrôlés dans les milices à déposer les armes mais aussi à fournir davantage des informations aux services de sécurité pour mieux traquer les groupes armés.
