Description
English: The Rhodes Brothers Ten Cent Store shown in this photo was located in the Arcade Building at Second Avenue and Union Streets. The Rhodes Department Store was also in this building, with a separate entrance. The ten cent store sold canned foods such as tuna and peaches, along with countless other items for the bargain hunting shopper. This photograph shows a variety of canned goods for sale, as well as a case of "fresh fig squares baked in your own city" for 15 cents a pound.
