Summary[edit]
DescriptionInside Hidden Valley - Sol 709 (32691531106).png |
Curiosity MastCam panorama of the sand-filled Hidden Valley, which the rover attempted to cross instead of the much more hazardous caprock terrain seen lining the valley walls. During the attempt, Curiosity experienced a large amount of wheel slip, leading rover engineers to double back and exit the valley. This mosaic uses images from Sol 709, with the horizon patched with images from Sols 696 and 710. Image Credit: NASA / JPL / MSSS / Justin Cowart |
