Summary[edit]

The standard model of the Big Bang theory says that at 10^-35 seconds after the Big Bang event, the universe was a mere centimeter across. Even then, light would not have been able to travel throughout all the regions as the distance light can travel would have been just 3 x 10^-25 centimeters (i.e., the speed of light at 3 x 10^10 cm per second, multiplied by the elapsed time of 10^-35 seconds). But the inflation theory supposedly solves that, by theorizing that the universe at was much much smaller then, allowing light to reach all regions.
