Description
English: As part of Indian Navy's endeavour of honouring Armed Forces veterans, a musical concert-cum-band performance was organised by Headquarters Karnataka Naval Area at Belagavi on 01 May 2022. More than 850 personnel comprising veterans, eminent citizens, senior dignitaries, and five contingents of NCC cadets including one Navy Girls' contingent, witnessed the event. The musical evening was also attended by serving senior officers from all three Services. Shri Kiran Thakur, Chairman South Konkan Education Society, Belagavi was the Chief Guest. The Navy Band stationed at INS Kadamba, Karwar performed at the event. The Band regularly participates in key events such as Republic Day parade, Beating Retreat ceremony and Station ceremonials.
