Description
English: Indian Naval Ships Sahyadri, Shakti and Kamorta arrived at Guam, USA on 07 June 2018 to participate in annual trilateral Exercise Malabar-18 with the navies of US and Japan. The opening ceremony of the exercise was opening ceremony held on 08 June 2018 at Guam. Vice Admiral Yamamura, Vice Chief of Staff, Japan Maritime Self Defence Force, Rear Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet, Rear Admiral Marc Daltob, Commander Task Force 70 and Rear Admiral Oban, Commander Commanding Flotilla 2 visited INS Sahyadri, USS Antietem and JS Ise. As a part of preparatory activities, interoperable systems were installed onboard ships and Op Conference - 1 was held onboard JS Ise to discuss the harbour programme for Malabar-18 scheduled from 07 to 10 June 2018.
