Description
English: Copy of a poster advertising the "Grand Annual I.O.F. Pic-nic and Regatta at Foresters' Island Park" on Friday, June 19th, 1896. A table of prices for tickets from various railway stations in Eastern Ontario is given, followed by highlights of the programme.

These included a professional scull race between Edward Hanlan and James Rice; yacht and canoe races and a sermon by Rev. W. J. McCaughan of Belfast.

The names given at the end of the poster are: John A. McGillivray, Q.C., Supreme Secretary; Oronhyatekha, M.D., Supreme Chief Ranger; Atwell Fleming, High Treasurer; Rev. Alexander MacGillivray, P.H.C.R., Chairman of Committee; George E. Challes, Manager of Excursion; C.A. Stone, Secretary of Committee and Manager of Games
