Summary[edit]

Description
English: Inces Hall Theatre - Gibraltar - December 2022 This venue Is over 250 years old making it one of the first larger buildings constructed in Gibraltar. Soon after the start of the British occupation of the Rock, the siege of 1727 effectively destroyed many of the buildings in the northern part of Gibraltar. It was necessary for many of the military storerooms and ancillary buildings to be transferred to the southern part of the City. In 1945, the southern wing was converted into the Garrison Theatre, doubling up as a cinema- for troops stationed in Gibraltar. It has functioned as a local theatre ever since.
