Text Appearing Before Image: BRIDGE OF SIGHS AND COUNTY JAILThe Allegheny County Court House is connected with the County Jail by a covered passageway of stone arched over and across the street between. It ispopularly known as the Bridge of Sighs, a name suggested by its resemblance to the Venetian original. Solid walls of New England granite give a strikingimpression of strength to the Jail.
