Español: Es en Almazán donde se instituye la Orden Militar de Calatrava (1158). Los Hospitalarios de San Juan de Jerusalén, constituyen centros en Soria, Ágreda y Almazán. La datación de esta iglesia, cabecera y primer tramo, es de mediados del siglo XII.
