In idoma land, okpokwu in Benue state Nigeria, this masquerades only comes out to perform a dance called oglinya when a son or a daughter of the land dies at a ripe old age, it's a way of honoring the dead with the oglinya dance.

English: The masquerades is use by the idomas particularly edumoga people in okpokwu local government area in Benue, the color red and black is a symbol of the idoma people.
