Summary[edit]

Description This cozy ice fishing shack was on the Androscoggin River on the Brunswick side. The Topsham side is in the background. I came down hoping to photograph an eagle as they hang around this site waiting for old bait or fish to be thrown out on the ice. I did see one but before I could get a good shot it flew to the Topsham side. So I was left to shoot ice fishing shacks. It was over 50 F today and there was lots of mushy snow and puddles of water. These shacks are beginning to be removed as the smelt season ends this weekend. The ice is still over two feet thick.
