Description
Español: Toma aérea del centro de la ciudad de Ibarra, coincidiendo con su casco antiguo que data del siglo XIX, precisamente reconstruida en la segunda mitad de ese siglo tras el devastador terremoto que destruyó la ciudad en 1868, el trazado en damero y ortogonal fue proyectado por el después presidente de la República, Gabriel García Moreno. En la fotografía se aprecian los dos parques históricos cívicos de la ciudad: el Pedro Moncayo y La Merced, además de verse el castillo del Cuartel Militar y el ayuntamiento; y en primer plano la Basílica de La Merced.
