Description
Italiano: Matera, nota con gli appellativi di "Città dei Sassi" e "Città Sotterranea", è conosciuta in tutto il mondo per gli storici rioni Sassi, che fanno di Matera una delle città ancora abitate più antiche al mondo. I Sassi di Matera sono stati riconosciuti il 9 dicembre 1993, nell'assemblea di Cartagena de Indias (Colombia), patrimonio dell'umanità dall'UNESCO, primo sito dell'Italia meridionale a ricevere tale riconoscimento.
