International Women’s Day Collaboration Brew. On Monday 14th February, eight incredible women - from in and around Macclesfield - joined forces to create a beer to be released for International Women’s Day on the 8th March 2022. Together they created I AM WOMAN, a 6.0% IPA; complex, dank, yet juicy. Using Centennial, Cascade, and Chinook hops in the whirlpool to develop the bitter and piney bite, with a strong citrusy floral aroma. Followed by further Citra and Columbus on the dry hop to enhance the flavours of mango, guava, and lychee, with herbally lemon backtones. This beer truly represents the empowerment of women, strong and powerful, beautifully executed. “The idea to brew a beer for International Women’s Day was an obvious one for us as a brewery. With many events happening all over the country and the world, we wanted to make sure that we could do our part, showcasing the extraordinary women that we have surrounding us in Macclesfield. All of these women are so incredibly passionate, not only about beer, but about making changes for the better. We were honoured to have them in our brewery, to help us create what is an amazing beer.
