Summary[edit]

Description
English: INS Tarangini departed Gibraltar on 07 September 2022 after a three day visit as part of Lokayan 22. During the port call, Commanding Officer INS Tarangini called on senior military and civilian officials at Gibraltar. Professional exchanges included visit to RFA Tidesurge, joint training with Royal Naval Gibraltar Squadron and tunnel tour of Rock of Gibraltar for sea trainees. Two officer cadets from British Royal Naval College who had embarked for sail training from London were disembarked at Gibraltar. A special wreath laying ceremony at Gibraltar War Memorial to pay homage to the Indian soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice during World War I and World War II was also organised. The ship was kept open for visitors during port call and more than hundred children from the local schools visited onboard. The ship also hosted distinguished guests, officers of Royal Armed forces and the Indian Diaspora onboard. A friendly cricket match was played between Gibraltar national team and the crew of Tarangini.
