Summary[edit]

Description
English: Looking southwest along the high-level platform of Hunterspoint Avenue Long Island Rail Road station in the Long Island City section of Queens, New York City. The bridge off in the distance is Queens-Midtown Expressway, which takes that route over the tracks to the toll plaza of the Queens-Midtown Tunnel to Manhattan. Also, the sign above the damaged Plexiglas panels used as the canopy over the platform directs commuters between Track 1 on the right and Track 2 on the left. Track 1 is for Long Island City-bound trains, while Track 2 is for Jamaica-bound trains, to either Oyster Bay, Port Jefferson, or Montauk.
