Description

Hungary (Hungarian: Magyarország ), officially the Republic of Hungary (Magyar Köztársaság), is a landlocked country in the Carpathian Basin in Central Europe, bordered by Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia. Its capital is Budapest.

Previously part of the East Eruopean Communist bloc, in 1989 a new programme advocating social democracy and a free-market economy was adopted.

In 2004 Hungary joined the EU. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hungary

In 1973, the abolition of the Ministry of Interior and police force established in the Police Regiment. (Rendori Ezred) which was replaced by the National Police in 1977.
