Summary[edit]

Description
English: Human lower jawbone (mandibular bone) of an adult female, aged 20-30 years. The teeth show evidence of prominent wear, probably from craft-related activities. There are areas of healed bone, indicating loss of some teeth during life. The skull of this individual was disturbed during the burial of other individuals and then placed back into its original burial pit. From the Neolithic site of Bestansur, Iraq. 7800-7500 BCE. Sulaymaniyah Museum, Iraq.
