English: Caption: "Remarkable living flags of the Allied nations were recently formed on the parade grounds of the Great Lakes Naval Training Station by thousands of the youthful sailors themselves, wearing either the summer white or the dark winter uniform, as their position in the flags required. Above is the famous Union Jack, proud emblem of "Britannia," and to the left the interesting Rising Sun flag of Japan."
