Español: Catedral de Sevilla. Honorato (589-641) sucedió a San Isidoro de Sevilla en el obispado desde el 12 de Mayo del 636 al 12 de Noviembre de 641, fecha de su muerte. En el año 1868 aparece esta lápida de mármol blanco en la Hacienda de Bujalmoro (Bury al-moro), Dos Hermanas. El texto, grabado con letras visigóticas se traduce: FUNDÓ ESTE SAGRADO Y VENERABLE TEMPLO DE CRISTO EL OBISPO HONORATO, EL HONOR DE CUYO NOMBRE RESPLANDECE PARA SIEMPRE Y ES CELEBRADO POR ESTOS HECHOS. AQUÍ, CONSAGRANDO UN ARA EN MEDIO DEL ALTAR, DEPOSITA (las reliquias de) LOS TRES SANTOS HERMANOS, QUE CÓRDOBA CONSERVA TRAS HABER SUFRIDO MARTIRIO. DESPUÉS CONSAGRÓ JUSTAMENTE ESTE TEMPLO DE LOS TRES SANTOS. BAJO ESTOS VERSOS CONSTA EL AÑO, DEJANDO PARA SIEMPRE EL TESTIMONIO DE LA FECHA. AÑO 6??. Referencia a los mártires cordobeses Fausto, Genaro y Marcial. El epígrafe probablemente datado entre 636 y 641. |
