Description
English:

George and Louisa Frye built a large home at 1306 Madison Street. Located at the corner of Summit Avenue, it was one of many large houses in what was then a fashionable district on First Hill, east of downtown Seattle. The Frye’s daughter Roberta, her husband Paul Watt and their family later occupied the home. The house was torn down in 1941, and the site is now occupied by small shops and restaurants across from Swedish Hospital."

Handwritten by Patricia O. Wright on verso of mount: George F. Frye & Louisa C. Frye house on Madison Street, razed 1941. 1306 Madison Ave. Later occupied as home of Paul H. Watt (Roberta Frye Watt) George & Louisa's daughter.
