Summary[edit]
DescriptionHoly Icon of Mariapocs in Hajdudorog.jpg |
English: From the 7th of February till the 5th of September 2009. the holy icon of Virgin Mary and the child Jesus was taken to the Greek Catholic Cathedral of Hajdúdorog, Hungary from the most important Hungarian pilgrimage site, Máriapócs. The holy icon is one of the most important painting of the Hungarian Catholic Church and many miracles are connected to the Virgin Mother of Máriapócs.
The highly venerated icon was replaced for 7 months to the cathedral because renovations took place in the interior of the basilica of Máriapócs. In the cathedral of Hajdúdorog the pulpit gave place to an appropriate frame to display the holy icon to the pilgrims. The bishop tried to ensure similar circumstances to pray and visit the Virgin Mother as it was in the basilica of Máriapócs. Magyar: 2009. február 7-től szeptember 5-éig a hajdúdorogi görög katolikus székesegyház adott otthont a máriapócsi kegyképnek, amely Szűz Máriát és a gyermek Jézust ábrázolja. A kegykép a Magyar Katolikus Egyház egyik legfontosabb festménye, amelyhez több csodát is kötnek a hívek. A könnyező kegykép Máriapócsot az ország egyik legjelentősebb zarándokhelyévé tette. A széles körben tisztelt kegyképet hét hónapra helyezték át a hajdúdorogi székesegyházba, ugyanis megkezdték a máriapócsi bazilika belső terének a felújítását. A hajdúdorogi székesegyházban a szószék átalakításával kapott új, méltó helyet a kegykép. Az áthelyezés idejére igyekeztek hasonló körülményeket teremteni a hívek és a zarándokok számára, mint amilyen a máriapócsi bazilikában volt. |
