Presumably Holland just means high land (though not in this case!) - there are numerous dwellings called Holland in the Orkney Isles - and are usually at or near the high point of the relevant island - Papa Westray https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/176583 and North Ronaldsay https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/341485 being examples. |
