Summary[edit]

Description A final shot in Uppukulam, the delightful little 'tea village' in the midst of the Vagamon- Munnar tea estates. While the Tyford Tea Factory we just visited (see previous pictures) is probably the largest structure in the entire village, this historic (though recently renovated) church of the Salvation Army adds much atmosphere to the village. The Salvation Army is a Christian church and international charitable organisation structured in a quasi-military fashion. Unlike most of India which is predominantly Hindu, I saw that Christianity was processed in most of the places I had visited in Kerala thus far.
