Description
Deutsch: Hillman Minx Serie III A (1960) - Verkehrsmuseum Dresden

Hin und wieder gab es in der DDR Sonderkontingente mit Pkw westlicher Fabrikate, die für den privaten Gebrauch importiert wurden. Ähnlich wie exklusive DDR- Pkw (z.B. Wartburg 313/1) waren diese Fahrzeuge in erster Linie für einen privilegierten Personenkreis bestimmt. In ihren Besitz gelangten neben »verdienten« Bürgern der DDR wie Partei-Funktionären, Mitarbeitern staatlicher Organe etc. vorrangig die Bewohner Berlins (Ost). Pkw der englischen Marke Hillman wurden bis Anfang der 1960er Jahre in die DDR importiert. Ab den 1970er Jahren kamen Fahrzeuge unter anderem der Marke Volvo, Volkswagen, Citroen und Mazda hinzu. Ende der 1980er

Jahre betrug der Anteil westlicher Pkw am Pkw-Gesamtbestand der DDR nur ca. 1‚5V%.
