This is a 2010 Land Rover LR4 Discovery, a personal owned vehicle, former member of Highland Township Fire and Rescue Service, Elk County, Pa.; The Blue light is used in Pennsylvania by Paramedics, Firefighters, Physicians and K9 Dog Handlers for Emergency Response. It can be used to respond from a member's residence to their Fire/E.M.S. station or an accident scene. Many Fire and E.M.S. services have one or more simular 4 wheel drive vehicles for Medics/Fire Chief's response. Blue light users cannot use a 2 toned air siren (Blues and Twos), but can use a single tone air horn. Law Enforcement use Blue and Red lights Statewide with the exception of State Correctional Service (Prisons) and Deputy Wildlife Officers which use Red only. All Police/Fire/Rescue/E.M.S. Service Boats use Blue Lights only. The Front Plate is a Scottish Number Plate in a U.S. standard size if 6"x12". You may use any Front Plate in Pennsylvania, but you must have a valid rear plate registered to be legal for street use. P.R.U. stands for Paramedic Response Unit.
