| Description |
English: Cityscape view of Christchurch. "Chemists", "Business Girl Hosiery", "Lingerie", Peacock's", "Time for a Capstan", Barlows", "PENROSE'S", are store signs visible in the right-hand side of the image. "Finance Arranged S.F.CLARK Ltd Builders Plans Prepared", "S.F.Clark in Residential Building", "TRUSSES", Hanafin", "JEWELLER", "Hobilliard's for(.) Watches", are store signs visible to the left-hand side of the image. "Hallenstein HB New Zealand" is visible on a sign on top of building, in the right-hand side of the image. The tram has "5x" displayed at the top of it. The tram also has two posters on it that read, "Buy Bedding Out Plants Wholesale Smiths", and "HELP BRITAIN WIN (.) PEACE". There are many vehicles, including an automobile that has a light coloured, possibly white, wicker pram tied to the boot of the car. There are crowds of people, pedestrians, and people riding bicycles, throughout the streets. |
