Description
English: Pen-and-ink-drawing by Johannes Riepenhausen about 1836: Herzog Erich der Ältere von Calenberg und Kaiser Maximilian vor der Veste Kufstein in Tirol.
Deutsch: Herzog Erich der Ältere von Calenberg bekommt vom Kaiser Maximilian vor der Festung Kufstein in Tirol eine symbolische Ohrfeige, weil er es gewagt hat, den Kaiser um das Leben der Besiegten zu bitten. Da der Herzog Erich dem Kaiser 1504 in der Schlacht bei Regensburg das Leben gerettet hatte, erfüllt der Kaiser die Bitte seines Patensohnes und lässt die Bewohner der Burg frei.
