| Description |
English: Heron fishing for eels #1 At low tide, and with very low water levels in the River Dee, a heron takes the opportunity to fish below the Old Dee Bridge. A heron, possibly this same one, is often seen fishing between the weir and the Grosvenor Bridge, which is further downstream. The shallow water, and stony bed of the river, suggests that it would have been possible to ford the river here long before the bridge was built. See also 1275676 and 1275691 |
