| Description |
English: Just south (to the right) of the great Orion Nebula lies the small reflection nebula NGC1999 surrounded by strings of Herbig Haro (HH) Objects. This view shows a bright Orion Nebula region and also the very faint dusty NGC1999 region. High Dynamic Range (HDR) techniques have been used to compress the dynamic range. 3 stacks made with 30, 120 and 600 second exposures (488 in total) with a total integration time of 24.6 hours. The stacks have been combined using HDRCombination in Pixinsight and further processsed with HDRMultiscaletransform and other processing steps.
