  • English: Heracles with club, lion skin and golden apples. The statue was found neatly buried under tiles with the inscription “FCS” (“fulgor conditum summanium”), indicating that it was struck by lightning then buried on the spot. Gilt bronze, Roman artwork of the 2nd century CE.
  • Français : Héraclès portant massue, peau de lion et pommes d'or des Hespérides. La statue fut découverte en 1864 près du Théâtre de Pompée, soigneusement enterrée sous des dalles ortant l'inscription « F.C.S. » (fulgor conditum summanium), indiquant qu'elle avait été frappée par la foudre puis enfouie sur place. Bronze doré, œuvre romaine du IIe siècle ap. J.-C.
  • Italiano: Statua di Ercole con clava, pelle di leone e mele delle Esperidi. La statua fu scoperta nel 1864 presso il Teatro di Pompeo, accuratamente sepolta, e dotata dell'iscrizione «F.C.S.» (fulgor conditum summanium), che indica che essa fu "uccisa" da un fulmine che l'aveva colpita, e quindi "seppellita" in loco cerimonialmente. Si tratta di un bronzo dorato, opera romana d'influsso lisippeo del II secolo d.C.
