Hemiciclo a Benito Juárez- metal wall being torn down after a protest on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women 2019

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Hemiciclo a Benito Juárez- metal wall being torn down after a protest on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women 2019. The city expected that there would be vandals to the monument and other buildings so they put up temporary metal walls to protect them, which worked to varying degrees. Here at the monument to Benito Juarez the protesters tore through the wall at one point and spray painted, but nearby Palacio Bellas Artes was spared that evening.
