Eesti: Helkivad ööpilved Manniva lähedal Jõelahtme vallas, põhjavaade. See nähtus on väga haruldane ja seda võib täheldada ainult suvel, kui niiske õhk tõuseb umbes 85 km kõrgusel mesosfääri. Need pilved koosnevad peamiselt jääkristallidest ja on kõrgeimad, mida Maalt vaadelda saab.
English: Noctilucent clouds near Manniva in Jõelahtme municipality, Northern view. This phenomenon is very rare and can only be observed in summer, when humid air rises into the mesosphere at an altitude of about 85 km. They are composed primarily of ice crystals and are the highest clouds that can be observed from Earth. |
