Description Heliodon é um instrumento facilitador do entendimento do fenômeno do movimento aparente do Sol. Nesta imagem está sendo simulado o pôr-do-Sol, no solstício de verão - 22 de dezembro, na latitude -28,26°. Heliodon é um equipamento utilizado, principalmente por arquitetos e estudantes de arquitetura, para visualizar o comportamento de uma edificação (na forma de maquete) em relação à posição solar, em função da latitude, da hora e ainda da estação do ano para o local em que se deseja simular o fenômeno.
