Description
English: Photo from the exhibitions at the Troms Forsvarsmuseum (English: "Troms Armed Forces Museum, Troms Defence Museum"), a military history museum in Setermoen in northern Norway:
  • Mannequin with uniform and personal equipment of the Norwegian Home Guard (Norwegian: Heimevernet – HV), the rapid mobilisation force within the Norwegian armed forces, before 1970:
    • Repainted WW2 German steel helmet (Stahlhelm) with HV emlem (crown, "HV" and wreath)
    • Field jacket, trousers, anklets and boots of American model
    • Yellow brassard with HV emblem and "TP", for traffic police duty
    • Military angle-head flashlight
    • Norwegian produced ammunition/magazine pouches for German WW2 MP 40 submachine gun. The Norwegian army withdrew the MP 38 from use in 1975 but used the MP 40 for some years more. In particular, the Territorials (Heimevernet) used it until about 1990, when it was replaced by the Heckler & Koch MP5.

    • Lommelykt med vinklet lykthode festet til bærestropp (webbutstyr: webb-belte med kryssremmer)
    • Norskproduserte magasintasker etter tysk modell, for ammunisjon til maskinpistol: Etter andre verdenskrig ble MP40 maskinpistoler som tyske okkupasjonsstyrker hadde etterlatt seg, brukt av det norske forsvaret. De var i bruk av befal i det norske Heimevernet til de ble avløst av den moderne MP5 i 1990-åra.
