Description
Deutsch: Heinkel He 111 B-1 (2x DB 600 C) oder B-2 (2x DB 600 CG) der Kampfgruppe K/88 der "Legion Condor" in Spanien, 1937-38, hier mit ausgefahrenem "Bauchturm" im C-Stand. Der Einführungzeitpunkt der He 111 B u/o E als Nachfolger des "Behelfsbombers" Junkers Ju 52/3m g3e bei der III./KG 355 in Giebelstadt ist nicht bekannt. Nachgewiesen sind am Tag der 1100 Jahr Feier Giebelstadt (19. - 20. Juni 1937) Flugvorführungen mit Junkers Ju 52 der III./KG 355.[1] Diese dürften im Jahresverlauf 1937/38 durch die moderneren Heinkel He 111 B o. E ersetzt worden sein, denn die III./KG 355 aus Giebelstadt beteiligte sich nachweislich mit Heinkel He 111 E (2x Jumo 211 A-1) Bombern an der Besetzung des Sudetenlandes ab dem 1. Okt. 1938. [2]
English: Heinkel He 111 B-1 (2x DB 600 C engines) or B-2 (2x DB 600 CG engines) of Condor Legion, Kampfgruppe K/88 in Spain, 1937-38. The bomber aircraft (Kampfflugzeug) with later version He 111 E (2x Jumo 211 A-1 engines) was introduced at Giebelstadt ca 1937-1938, the Luftwaffe-Bomberunit is III./KG 355 (3rd Group of Kampfgeschwader/Bomber Wing 355). On April 1st, 1936 (to Febr. 1st, 1938) the I./KG 155 (1st Group of Kampfgeschwader/Bomber Wing 155) at Giebelstadt was equipped with Dornier Do 23 and Dornier Do 17 E medium bombers.
