Beschreibung aus dem Emder Jahrbuch für historische Landeskunde Ostfrieslands (Band X, 1892): "(XVI t.) Der Schuh war von Holz, war mit Silber vergoldeten Platten überzogen und mit Edelsteinen und Perlen besetzt wie solches auch an den Strümpfen geschah." "(n): Eine Kopfhaube hiess eine Hatte. Sie war 3 — 4 Ellen lang und anderthalb Ellen breit. Sie wurde um den Kopf gewunden so dass die Zipfel zu beiden Seiten herunterhingen." n. Frauenkopf mit „Hatte" (zu XIII). o. desgl.
