Two large floors, 40 x 80 feet indimensions, are occupied, and a large and most valuable stock is carried.They make a leading specialty of the celebrated Knabe pianos, and alsohandle extensively the fine instruments bearing the name of Vose, Pease audother leading makers. They also sell the Estey Vocalian organ, oue of thefinest instruments of its kind in the market. Their stock of sheet-music is thelargest and best outside of New York or Boston. Messrs. Gallup & Metzgerare also sole agents for the Electric Piano, a new aud unique instrument that isacquiring great popularity. They are the only house in the State .handlingchurch orgaus. Their business is both wholesale and retail in character, andthey require the services of a strong force of clerks, including ;a_number oftraveling salesmen. 90

Schmidt & Fox is its reliability,it would be incorrect to offer this as the explanation of the great popularity thestore enjoys, for many other reliable jewelry stores can be found in the city ;but the truth of the matter is the public like to do business with a firm that isnot only reliable but enterprising ; that not only gives full value for moneyreceived, but gives its patrons an opportuuity to choose from the very latestfashionable novelties in all the various lines of goods it handles.
