Description
Português: Tecido. Sem local, sem data. Doador desconhecido. Acervo Museu da Imigração de São Paulo. O haori é um tipo de casaco que se usa por cima do kimono em dias frios. O que aparece na fotografia é masculino e não possui forro. Mais curto que um kimono, é para ocasiões formais e é utilizado por cima deste junto com uma calça. Um detalhe dessa peça é que ela possui um desenho circular sutil em cinco lugares diferentes. Esse desenho representa provavelmente um emblema de família, conhecido como "roda de oito flechas".
English: Haori. Fabric. Unknown place of origin, unknown date. Unknown donor. Collection of the Immigration Museum of São Paulo. Haori is a type of coat that is used on top of the kimono on cold days. The one that is portrayed in the photography is masculine and does not have lining. One of this piece’s details: it has a subtle circular drawing in five different places. This drawing probably represents a family emblem, known as “eight-arrow wheel”.
