Shades in different contexts: optics, astronomy, ecology and painting

DescriptionHalbschatten.png	Deutsch: Das Wort Halbschatten leicht ähnliche aber doch leicht unterschiedliche Bedeutungen, je nach Zusammenhang: Oben links: die Entstehung von Kern- und Halbschatten sowie schattenfreier Bereiche infolge einer ausgedehnten Lichtequelle. Oben rechts: Kern-, Halb- und Ringschatten in der Astronomie Unten links: Halbschatten in der Ökologie: hier der Senserbach im niederländischen Ort Vaals, unmittelbar an der Grenze zur deutschen Stadt Aachen. Die photographierte Stelle war auch bei warmen sommerlichen Temperaturen angenehm kühl. Unten rechts: in der Malerei steht der Halbschatten für Übergänge von Farben aus dem voll beleuchteten in den nicht mehr ganz beleuchteten Bereich.
