Deutsch: Hainewalde: Detailansicht der Statue des Todes als halbverwester Leichnam mit Krone und Zepter an der Kanitz-Kyawschen Gruft. Die 1715 erbaute Gruft gilt als bedeutenstes Werk barocker Grabmalkunst der gesamten Oberlausitz. Stifter waren Otto Ludwig von Kanitz (1661-1724) und seine Gemahlin Viktoria Tugendreich geb. von Kyaw (1657-1716). Das Äußere der Gruft ist reich mit Säulen, Wappen und weiterem Beiwerk verziert. Hauptaugenmerkt bilden 17 Sandsteinstauen, von denen je vier an jeder Seite und ein Engel als Freifigur auf dem Dach der Gruft angebracht sind. Die Statuen sind thematisch geordnet und bilden Gegensatzpaare, bei denen je ein irdisches Leiden einer himmlischen Seligkeit gegenübergestellt wird. Besondere Beachtung verdienen die Figuren irdischen Leidens, die sehr realitätsnah dargestellt sind, während die Allegorien himmlischer Glückseligkeit Idealgestalten sind.
