De trekker-opleggercombinaties, in 1946 en 1947 gebouwd door diverse Nederlandse fabrieken en aangeduid als TCR/OB, werden in de eerste jaren na de Tweede Wereldoorlog ingezet op trajecten waar geen spoorverkeer mogelijk was.
