Summary[edit]

Description
English: HMS Superb, a Swiftsure Class Attack Submarine, emerged from a period of deep maintenance at HMNB(Clyde). The support period was followed by three hugely successful weeks of operational sea training with Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST) staff embarked. The submarine was cleared for operations and was deployed in the later part of the summer.

The photograph shows the Type 45 Destroyer, HMS Daring, conducting sea trials in the Scottish exercise areas. The shipÕs Submarine Photographic Team (SPT) took the photograph through HMS SuperbÕs search periscope.
