Summary[edit]
DescriptionHörnlihütte (3927980858).jpg |
View On Black. Lunch at the base of the Matterhorn. Although it is not technically difficult, the hike to the hut does involve some exposed sections that were still covered in snow and ice and required the use of fixed hand-lines for safety. Nonetheless, all kinds of people were completing the hike, from climbers to tourists in sneakers to children with their families. I almost felt out of place carrying an ice ax. (Taken during a tekking tour of the Mattertal in Valais, Switzerland, July 2009.) |
