Summary[edit]

Description
English: Norwegian military steel combat helmet M31 ("Baltic Helmet" or "Baltik Hjalmar") manufactured in Norway by the Raufoss Ammunisjonsfabrikker plant, with a rampant M35 "Norwegian Lion" (Coat of arms/banner of arms of Norway) metal insignia on front. The design was taken from the Swedish M26, but the Norwegian produced helmets differed from the Swedish helmets by having a very pronounced comb to the top and a steel liner band. The M26 was also delivered to the Norge Police with base in Sweden during the German occupation of Norway during World War Two, etc. See also Norwegian uniforms & equipment 1940 by Bjorn Jervaas. Photo taken at the Royal Norwegian Navy Museum in Horten, Norway.
